We aren't the first highly-popular sports blog to rip the BCS, nor will we be the last. But this year's batch of BCS games us nothing but more to complain about.

On January 2, #10 Oregon outlasted #5 Wisconsin 45-38 in the Rose Bowl. Later that night, #3 Oklahoma State beat #4 Stanford in a 41-38 Fiesta Bowl thriller.

But the excitement on January 2 doesn't last because the games are simply unimportant. With no Alabama or LSU awaiting these winners, their impressive victories were meaningless.

And when #2 Alabama shutout #1 LSU in the "National Championship" game, all the BCS gave us was two teams with identical overall and head-to-head records. And no real champion.
